Dear Mom and Dad,

I had a great time yesterday. It was Halloween! My host family gave me a costume. I dressed up as a pirate. We went to a party at their friend's house.

The house was decorated with pumpkins and ghosts. It looked a little scary, but it was fun. We played games and ate pumpkin pie. The pie was sweet and delicious. I ate three pieces!

Later, we went "trick-or-treating." We walked around the neighborhood and knocked on doors. People gave us a lot of candy. My bag was full of chocolate. I will bring some back to Japan for you.
