Helping the Community

Last summer, I joined a volunteer group to clean up the local park. Every Saturday morning, we picked up trash and planted flowers. At first, I thought it would be boring. ( 1 ), it was actually very fun. I met many nice people who live in my neighborhood.

Through this experience, I learned that small actions can make a big difference. The park is now much cleaner, and more children play there. ( 2 ), I decided to join another volunteer group next year. I want to continue helping my town.
