My School Trip to Kyoto
May 25th
Yesterday, my class went on a school trip to Kyoto. We left our school at 8:00 a.m. and took the bullet train. It was my first time on a bullet train, so I was very excited.
In Kyoto, we visited two famous temples. The first one was Kinkakuji. It was very beautiful and shiny because it is covered in gold. Many students took pictures there. After that, we went to Kiyomizudera. The view of the city from the big wooden stage was amazing.
For lunch, we ate Japanese noodles. I wanted to buy some souvenirs for my family, but we did not have enough time. I was a little sad about that, but I had a great day.
How did the students go to Kyoto?
What did the writer like about Kinkakuji?
Why was the writer a little sad?
