How are you? I am writing because I want to plan a welcome party for Mark, the new student from Canada. He joined our class last week, and I think it would be nice to do something fun together.

I was thinking about having the party next Saturday, June 17. There is a new restaurant called "Burger House" near the station. It has a big room for groups. I think we can meet there at 5:00 p.m. I hope you can come. Can you please ask Tom and Ken if they are free, too?

That is a wonderful idea! I really want to come to the party. However, I have a tennis match on Saturday afternoon. It finishes at 5:30 p.m., so I cannot be there by 5:00 p.m. Is it possible to start the party at 6:00 p.m.?

Also, I remember Mark said he does not eat meat. "Burger House" is popular, but maybe "Pasta World" is better. They have many kinds of vegetable pasta and salads. I will talk to Tom and Ken at school tomorrow.
