Living on Mars

Mars is the fourth planet from the Sun. For many years, scientists have been studying Mars to see if humans can live there in the future. However, the environment on Mars is very ( 1 ) from Earth. It is extremely cold, there is very little water, and there is almost no oxygen in the air for humans to breathe.

( 2 ), scientists are not giving up. They are trying to find ways to make human life possible there. Engineers are designing special spacesuits that will allow astronauts to walk outside safely. They are also planning to build strong houses that can protect people from the cold and dangerous radiation.

If scientists can solve these difficult problems, humans might be able to build a city on Mars one day. Traveling to and living on another planet will be a huge challenge, but it could ( 3 ) a great adventure for humanity in the future.
