Dear Mom and Dad,
How are you doing? I have been in Australia for two weeks now, and I am really enjoying my homestay. My host family, the Browns, are very kind. Mr. Brown loves fishing, and he promised to take me to the ocean next weekend.
School is a little difficult because everyone speaks English very fast. However, I made a new friend named Sam. He helps me with my history homework. Yesterday, we played basketball together after school. It was great fun!
The food here is delicious, but the portions are huge! I was surprised when I saw the size of the steak at dinner last night. I am trying to eat everything, but I am gaining a little weight.
