How Students Travel

A student group surveyed 200 students. Each chose one usual travel method.

The school can add a covered bicycle rack but cannot change bus or train timetables.

The survey was designed to help the school understand how long students travel and which facilities might make their journeys easier. The travel-time groups in the table divide each method into trips under 20 minutes and trips of 20 minutes or more.

The school has enough space beside the entrance for one covered bicycle rack, but building it would require moving a row of planters. Staff cannot revise public transport schedules because those are set by outside operators.

The student group will share the results at a meeting next month and ask commuters whether weather protection or a different improvement would help most. The figures describe the surveyed students, not every student in town.
