Student council report Last spring, students turned an unused corner of the school yard into a vegetable garden. At first, some members wanted to plant flowers, but the group chose vegetables so that the cooking club could use the harvest. Teachers helped prepare the soil, and students brought seeds from home.

Update from the garden team The tomatoes grew well, but the lettuce dried out during a hot week. This year we will place a large water container beside the garden. Students can use it to water plants before classes. We will also put up a simple schedule so that the same person does not have to water them every day.

Cooking club message We used the tomatoes in soup for the school festival. Many visitors asked where the vegetables came from, so next year we plan to display a sign about the garden. We are grateful to the team and hope to use more of its produce in future events.
