School Notice: Cultural Exchange Program 2025
Our school will host a Cultural Exchange Program with Lakeside High School in Canada from July 15 to July 29, 2025. Ten students will be selected to participate. They will stay with local families, attend English classes, and join cultural activities such as hiking and cooking traditional dishes.
Participants are required to attend two orientation sessions in May and June before departure. The total cost is 150,000 yen, including airfare, meals, and insurance.
Applications must be submitted by April 10, along with a short essay in English about “What I hope to learn from cultural exchange.”
For more information, please contact Mr. Sato in the International Office.
Student Blog: My Experience in Canada
Last summer, I joined the Cultural Exchange Program and stayed with a wonderful host family in Canada. They were very kind and helped me improve my English every day. I attended classes in the morning and joined various activities in the afternoon.
My favorite event was the Japanese Culture Day, where we introduced origami and calligraphy to local students. They were very curious and excited to try everything! In return, they taught us how to make maple syrup pancakes, which were delicious.
Through this experience, I learned not only language skills but also how to appreciate different ways of thinking. I highly recommend applying if you are interested in learning beyond the classroom.
When is the application deadline for the Cultural Exchange Program?
What is the main purpose of the Cultural Exchange Program?
Put the following events in the correct order:
Which three statements are supported by both the school notice and the student blog? (Select three items)
What can be inferred about the student who wrote the blog?
