Our cafeteria throws away more food than necessary. The student council would like to reduce this waste during Green Week by encouraging students to choose portions carefully. We will introduce three activities.

First, students can record the amount of food left on their plates after lunch. The records will help us understand which dishes are often left unfinished. (1)

Second, the cafeteria will offer a half-size option for some meals. Students who are not very hungry can select it instead of taking a full portion. (2)

Third, a display near the exit will show a weekly total of discarded food. (3) Students will be able to compare the total with the previous week.
